how in the hell did he do that?!!!! he came out of the drain then rolled the top off the ground!

Lemme ruin the trick for you. The camera man stepped two feet forward and someone off camera placed the roll up manhole cover on the ground with the gloves on it.

Take a look at the ground when he rolls it up, the scratch marks from when he kicked the man hole cover are gone. The cameraman’s movement was well done to cover up the two steps he took.
